A Most Enjoyable Evening with Cabrillo Host Lions
Lions Jan, Denny & I made the short trip up beautiful highway 1 to the little town of Aptos and the home of the Cabrillo Host Lions.
The meeting place of this club is one of my favorite, it sits next to a small park which is the location of the Santa Cruz Blues festival each year. Their hall is very well suited for a Lions meeting and dinner, and the Cabrillo Host Lions (and visiting Scotts Valley Lions) filled the room with great energy and fellowship.
We had a great time pre-meeting talking with all the Lions, and I especially enjoyed listening to Lion (Dad) Harvey Bustichi who shared a bit about his years gowing up in the San Francisco and Santa Cruz area. Thanks Lion Harvey!
The meeting was opened by Lion President Barbara and introductions were made all around. Lion Barbara ran a very informative and well organized meeting, and gave me a few moments to talk about my campaign. It was great to see 2 new Lions in the room, one each from Cabrillo Host and Scotts Valley Host !
